Unbelievably after two calls yesterday I received another call from this number today again claiming to be TalkTalk. I told him he was lying and he rang off.
They said they were calling from HMRC, however HMRC never calls mobile numbers. Phone scams are a common way for criminals to con people out of money using various tricks to get your personal or financial information. A funny voice asked me to wait until the next HMRC agents would be available. This crap company has called about 4 times in past couple of weeks. SCAM: purporting to be from BT. There is a recorded message, threatening to cut the landline off. It's clearly a scam as we're not with BT.
I believe this number is one of those where you call back and they try to keep you on the line at a premium rate I would advise not returning the call
