I had a phone call of This number on Monday and the lovely lady on the other end of the phone spoke with such great manners, she said I could possibly be entitled to a free pension review and went through the criteria with me to my delight I did, she explained that someone had to come to my house and show me the liscence and legitimate documents, the courier came and was lovely I have realised I was getting over charged and switched my pension provider to some thing a lot cheaper? This number shows as International and 01274792012... Said it was a quick survey, I asked where they got my details from and they said public source. They knew my name, address, postcode and phone number. Fairly obvious that they are identifying opportunities for onward selling. I think the only reason I have a home phone these days is for junk/spam calls. Another one for the block list.

Looking at earlier comments, it seems this is Vanquis. I don t have a card or have ever had any dealings with them in the past so don t know why they call me about 6 times every day, including weekends. I block every number but they call from different numbers.

Phoned me today. I have just had a bereavement in my family so wansnt up to dealing with the call. I told them I would contact them back and the woman said that s fine. Then they phoned again 5 minutes later saying they have personal details to discuss I again said I can t take the call right now. Now I ve had to block them from calling me.
Keep getting called by this Preston number and on final answering it was a silent call for 8 seconds before hanging up.
