A voice from this number told me that my national insurance nunber had been cancelled and that i had been involved in illegal activity - i havent! Therefore when it also told me i was going to be arrested unless i pressed number 1 i knew it was a scam!

Unknown caller. when dialed there is an exchange message "The number you have dialed has not been recognised. Please check and try again." This seems to be occurring more frequently. It is now possible to make calls from another number look as though the call is coming from somewhere totally different, for example a call made from a Glasgow number can seem to come from London. Be wary. This experience happens on calls from 01506 674749 to 01506 674752 inclusive.

This was a very entertaining phone call as the man on the other line who went under the name of "Michael Jordan", not the basketball player, told me I must give him money or else I would be arrested in 30 minutes!! I have just received a phone call on my home phone from this number. a voice (American i think) informed me they were from Amazon and that my payment of £39.99 would be taken . If I wanted to stop payment I would have to press a number on my phione keypad. I disconnected immediately and looked up the number on Google and came to this site.
