"Industrial Workers Union" scam from Derby had been ringing me daily for around three weeks. Finally gave in to temptation and picked up. "We re totally legit" and "a government body" the man said. Basically boiled down to cold calling people on a tradesman database looking to get money out of past employers for supposed hearing loss. I don t know these people are, but they telephone every day. Quite often the number is slightly different which makes it difficult to block.

Automated call - Didn't answer, then got a 5s voicemail of a Liverpool accent (phone had auto-identified dialling code as Liverpool) saying "ah right, OK, well we'll take you off our list then". I suspect this was an automated response after my voicemail "answered" to say not available, leave your message etc. and voicemail recorded tail end of the response. Crafty.
