Claimed to be Carphone Warehouse. I have not dealt with them for over 10 years so either it is a lie or CW are in serious breach of GDPR/DPA obligations.
Called and like others, reported to be from Microsoft, said that they had the serial number of windows that was reporting that my computer was being hacked as we spoke by a criminal gang (how ironic!) and that they were from an agency who needed to stop the gang by stemming the flow through my PC.....Said we know an IT expert who we would ask to take a look ourselves, he (called himself Peter Wilson) said that an expert would not be able to find it. Automated answer informed me that my national insurance and bank accounts had been suspended. A crime number had been issued and court proceedings instigated. I was to press “1” to speak to operative. Safe to say I hung up. Strangely the actual phone number is very close to my own phone number….only a couple of digits out.

I jsut had a call from a sweet man give me this whole spiel about Great Ormand Street Hospital. I know great hospital etc. In the end I didnt donate because i am not in the position to financially, otherwise he nearly had me there. Other threads on the net suggest that this was a hoax. I am not sure. People be aware..but don t forget to care!

Persistently called by this number, trying to sell some energy deal. Repeatedly told him I'm not interested. Will not accept no. I am registered with TPS and have threatened to inform them. Very annoying individual.

Calling trying to sell telecommunications and very rude! Answered back when I told him to remove my company from his list and stop calling he hung up, And when I called him back clogging up his line I explained that hanging up on me was certainly not going to get my business he was even more rude.
Fed up with calls from this number blocked it with my phone reported to TPS but seems to make no difference BY need to look into this type of thing and try to stop it after all we pay enough for the BT service avoid at all costs
