I when along with the charade of the call and got through to a 'supervisor' who spoke to me by name. That was when I unleashed my tirade of abuse - f and c words. It always does the trick - they soon go away. Its very cathartic - I recommend it.

Caller claimed to be wanting to complete a survey on behalf of Devon and Cornwall fire and rescue in relation to pole tax expenditure. Could not give me details of how he got my mobile number that the council do not have! Therefore this appears to be a scam!
This is HMRC s Bournemouth number. Typically they will leave a message if they want to speak to you urgently (with a deadline for calling them) - they will also leave a similar, but not identical DDI number to contact them on if.
