I have been called 3 times by this number over the last 2 weeks - often at highly inconvenient meal times. It appears to be cold calling fund raising drive linked with University of Birmingham (I am an alumnus). Very annoying and puts me off ever donating any dosh to the University (even if I had some to spare! I would like this to stop.

Received a call from this number from person with Lancashire accent said he was from HYA. When asked who was HYA he said the company dealt with taking card payments. When I stated I was not interested he asked 'Why not'. I realised it could be a scam to obtain bank details and cut them off.

Guy called Travis Smith from BT Technical dept called (but he was clearly an Indian!!!) said I would be disconnected for 23 days within the hour if I didn't perform the following checks. Called. Asked for the MD by first name as it they were mates. Nope. Offered to take a message. Nope. I'll call him on his mobile then... Could I give him the mobile number (Nope). Then said he'd email him. Could I give his email address (Nope). Said he was welcome to use our "sales@" email address, but wanted to send to me, personally (Nope).
