hung up but wasnt actually calling from "maidenhead" I assume that was chosen as i work in the area .

Fed up of receiving calls from this number. When you ask them to stop calling, they don t and carry on.

I believe it is someone who called the wrong number. I got a caller on my mobile. I have my number for more than 10 years. I think she misdialled from her phone. She asked for Gemma. I just said there is no Gemma and she got the wrong number. I can't say if this is a trick or not.

The call purpoting to be from HM Revenue dept was suspicious. The correct name Her Majesty s Revenue and Customs, commonly abbreviated as HMRC never initiate communication by telephone, only by letter. Call not returned.

They called up asking if I had recently been involved in a car crash. Picked up the phone and an automated voice said "this is a message from....." there was a number but they said it so quickly I couldn t take it down. The message was "are you online for real?". No idea what it meant and I wasn t online at the time
