Suggest you keep them hanging on the line as long as possible but don't download anything or give them your details. Just string them along and frustrate them. They will sign you up on a completely different deal than agreed initially with the most expensive phone available. This was a recorded message clearly of a fraudulent nature, saying that I was to be arrested for tax fraud. I immediately hung up and did not listen to the whole message. I presume that there is some scam involved. It is at least annoying and is potentially dangerous for the unwary.

Very persistent - when I told them I didn't know my postcode they called back the following night. Even provided me with a (mobile!) number I could call to check that they really were Vodafone.
