This number said my national insurance had been frauded. And I had to press 1 for more info or my national insurance will be suspended ? .. existed call as I felt it strange .. I'd just had different call saying I was being investigated for tax fraud ? Sure both connected.. I think it's a SCAM NUMBER !
Operator said they calling about my online banking enquiry without stating who they are. I told them I have made no enquiry. Then operator just hung up on me.

a SCAM perpetrated by HMRC? Could not sort Tax code out online and was told to ring another number. Called it and after lengthy process getting into the right Q and waiting 18 minutes was told to ring 08444740101 instead. (charged £12.25 for waiting during that call!). I rang that number and after another 20 minutes listening to Muzak...eventually got someone....30 minutes later for an error HMRC had made I discovered a charge of £17.45. for calling HMRC!
