This lady has phoned several times over the last year claiming to be our energy advisor!SCAM

Call claiming to be Bank Security. Called yesterday using a different number. Both sounded like scams.

Fraud A banking scam - purporting to be TSB and checking fraudulent transactions. Almost convinced us to give standing orders and direct debit details, and had confirmed a couple of transaction. Eventually wanted to close card/account and open a new one!!! Too many alarm bells. Steer well clear. VERY VERY CONVINCING!

TAXES / HMRC Robocall allegedly from HMRC saying that they are about to take legal action against you and press one, leave your details to prevent legal action being taken. No human interaction whatsoever. When you try to call it back ( from a withheld number you get an immediate divert saying sorry calls can't be taken at this time or an unobtainable tone.

Asked for me by my first name, (the cheek of it). Then claimed to be from social housing repair, as we all know there is no such company (a legit one anyway). Furthermore, I know that my landlord do not deal with anyone that would just cold call tenants, especially one that uses an asian call center. Yet more thieving scumbags who should be ashamed of themselves.

Scammers. Charge you to "optimise" your laptop - cost my 85 year old dad nearly £5000 so far and I'm in a daily battle with them to get it back.

When i tried to phone back got a number not recognised nessage (this is a common scammer tactic) they call out using a random number and then shut it down as soon as someone like myself question's them

Scam caller claiming to be from Virgin. The call was made by an official sounding call centre (the woman sounded Indian). She claimed that there has been suspicious activity from unknown IP addresses using my account and that it was being used for criminal activity and that she needed to help me protect my firewalls etc. I immediately became suspicious as I'd heard of such calls being made and told her that I'd call Virgin directly to resolve any issues. Scam call from apparent electric complany. After telling them the "owner" is not in. He replies "can i say something. You have a nice voice. I want to hear it over and over again." WTF! I hung up there and then.

Didn't answer, voicemail was left saying he was from Advanced (never heard of them), wanting to talk about an invoice and saying he'd email me. No email received.

Scammers: Call from what sounded like an Indian call centre telling me I was going to get a 40% discount on my O2 bill.
