a SCAM perpetrated by HMRC? Could not sort Tax code out online and was told to ring another number. Called it and after lengthy process getting into the right Q and waiting 18 minutes was told to ring 08444740101 instead. (charged £12.25 for waiting during that call!). I lady called me saying she had frozen a transaction from going to a offshore account in China. The currency was bitcoin. This was odd as these transactions go to a bit coin wallet then to a debit card that is registered on your account. She did no DPA to verify that I was the account holder. Then she wanted me to download a app I refused so she asked if I have a pc or laptop. I said pc she wanted to screen share. I would do no such things I told her then hug up.
