Asks last time speed test was done and if you have access to laptop/computer, and will go through with you to fix Internet speed. They lock you out of your laptop/computer have access to all your Internet banking details, card payments made etc. If you don't bank online , they tell you unless you pay them money, they won't reverse the block on laptop/computer. Please be careful of these calls. Never ask for you by name

Yesterday and today I was called from 01761453627. I immediately recognised the code and first two digits of the second part of the number because I used to live in a village with the same code, 01761, followed by 45; the same as our old landline. The caller said he was ringing from BT's "unwanted call blocking service". Asian female reportedly from "Windows Tech Support" called to tell me that that they had received numerous error messages from my computer and that she was there to help. Ran off a load of numbers and letter supposedly from my computer licence and when asked to repeat it the numbers and letters did not match. When asked to supply I.P. address hung up. "Windows Tech Support" would never ring. Total scam.

I have had these calls - they phoned my mobile and I didn't think till later how they got it. They said they were calling re problems with cavity wall insulation which I had done a few years. I was convinced and made arrangements for a visit on Monday - its weekend now so cannot contact them. If they call I will just turn them away. Its so easy to get drawn in.
