Potentially dangerous scam. Got a call from them this morning. In the most Queen's English claiming to be HMRC and stating that there is a tax fraud case against me. Threatening to issue a warrant and arrest me if I don't call them back... All hallmarks of a scam, not addressing me by name and going straight into threats territory.
SCAM CLAIMING THEY ARE FROM BRITISH GAS, ONCE I TOLD THEM I KNEW THEY WERE NOT BRITISH GAS HE SAID ITS TOO LATE CHECK YOUR BANK DETAILS.. THEY ARE VERY CONVINCING AND WILL KEEP RINGING AND RINGING. BRITISH GAS HAVE CONFIRMED THESE IDIOTS ARE NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM.

Automated call - Didn't answer, then got a 5s voicemail of a Liverpool accent (phone had auto-identified dialling code as Liverpool) saying "ah right, OK, well we'll take you off our list then". Called my elderly grandad just now (isn?t the first time). He couldn?t understand him so passed the phone to me. An Indian man calling from ?Remote Security? and enquiring about a ?computer or laptop in your house? I told him we didn?t have either and he carried on trying to talk, so I repeated that we didn?t have either and to not call again and he hung up. Expecting a call again tomorrow as that?s what happened last time I told them not to call
