I had a silent call (on 15/5/15)& as I was expecting a call from unknown people on this area code, I used 1471 and phoned back. I heard a recorded message "You were called today by Media Match. The cal was not important and we will try again later. Goodbye" A Google search for Media Match shows a US firm with this name, but on websites similar to this one they claim that they do not cold-call and that their name is being mis-used. Rang this company on a local number.Birmingham accent answered phone. I asked for a quote for a plumbing emergency and was quoted £109 per hr. I refused. Got someone local but then at 21.42 this number called but I missed it. Not sure if it is legit company

Sounded like a call centre. They hung up when answer phone kicked in. Anyone who knows me will leave a message so probably another dodgy cold call/scammer.

Settled accident claim (9 months ago, not my fault, no physical injury sustained by me) and eventually accepted small payout after being hounded by solicitors. I imagine they are just random calling after accessing insurance claim/accident data from an unethical source!! Had 3 calls on same day from different unknown / nuisance numbers! Stinks!
