I m getting a lot of these calls lately. Isn t it against the law now? I m sure I heard on TV it was going through parliament. Anyway the guy was a complete numpty and wouldn t take no for an answer till a few expletives sored out of my mouth.

The first time they rang there was call-centre style background noise so I hung up before anyone spoke. Calling later in the day, a man started by being friendly "How are you today", but when his introductory spiel mentioned he d be asking questions to find my opinion, I interrupted him to say I don t do surveys. Caller knows I ve applied for power of attorney for my husband ? HOW ?? Reason for call - my husband may be due for refund PIP. Said he ll call back in one month when power of attorney should be completed !! This number has now been blocked on my phone. I won t get involved with unsolicited phone calls.

Phone call from these people. Smooth talking salesman told me name of the company and said they are doing surveys. I answered some questions about the property and then he said they are calling at 7 pm tomorrow to do a property survey and sit down with me and discuss options. I was alarmed and said I do not let strangers into my house. He was persistent so I put the phone down. I wonder if anyone ever agrees to the property survey. They might be genuine, but I reckon it is best not to chance it.

I had a silent call (on 15/5/15)& as I was expecting a call from unknown people on this area code, I used 1471 and phoned back. I heard a recorded message "You were called today by Media Match. The cal was not important and we will try again later. Goodbye" A Google search for Media Match shows a US firm with this name, but on websites similar to this one they claim that they do not cold-call and that their name is being mis-used.
