Said that because they’d refunded an overpayment that my account may show in arrears and I may receive an automated letter due to this error. They will remove it but wanted to let me know that they may not be able to stop the letter. If they’re making this many calls for this reason they should probably just have sent an email to everyone!

called alot so i answered a few times without speaking and they hung up immediately. Then i answered and went along with "the nice man from Microsoft" who wanted to "fix" my computer. When i got to a step that would do something to my computer i told him i thought he was a fake and a terrible person for sucking people in and he got really angry and went off! I only looked on site out of interest and signed up to see what the cost of a subscription was. Too expensive for me so haven t followed through. i did not request any kind of call back so am not pleased they feel the need to call me.
Thesr are scammers trying to threaten people into making an immediate payment to them in order not to get immediatly arrested supposdly. they even managed to get a number which looks similar to HMRC. hang up immediatly and report this is no tax advice line.

Left a message saying I would be charged £79.99 If I wished to cancel press 1, if I wanted more info press 2. I just hung up. I was sat here when it said the call was made. The phone did not ring.
When answering the call, a pre-recorded male voice told me that my NI number would be under investigation, because several fraudulent activities had been registered. It then urged me to press 1 for further information. I terminated the call immediately. However, this does not seem a legitimate phone number from which such a call would be made. Therefore, I am classing this as scam/fraud.
