Indian chap, allegedly from Carphone Warehouse. Said I could have a 5g phone with 80Gb of data, etc., for £7 a month. Sounded too good to be true, which means it probably is, so I passed. Didn’t take the call on my landline but they left a pre recorded message informing me that my card had been used in a foreign transaction twenty minutes before and that I should press 1 to stop it. I rang the number from my mobile a couple of times and each time got the busy tone. I reckon it’s a poor attempt at a scam.
