This number together with other number within the range of 07957 422000 to 07957 422999 is being used by the National Crime Agency (NCA) scammers trying to target UK citizens to get them to reveal data to them and probably to ripped off your Bank details. I have had 4 calls in the last 24 hours from 4 seaparate numbers within the above range. I was already aware of this scam so I did not press 1 after listerning to the automated message. Normally I don't answer unknown numbers but expecting an engineer.

SCAM Said they were O2. Very convincing. Sent an OTP, like a fool, I gave it to them. By the time their call ended, and I got through to O2 (max 10 minutes), they’d already changed my email and postal addresses. O2 tell me the only time they will ask for the OTP is when a customer calls them. Looks like I stopped them in time, all details now changed, and security info changed, but be careful people. Automated call - recorded message saying was from HMRC and to confirm it's me by pressing 1 otherwise a warrant would be issued and I'd be arrested soon. Ignored as HMRC wouldn't disclose any personal info without first confirming data protection and they wouldn't call on a mobile number either.
