Yet another silent call!! Followed on after similar calls from 01706 and 01737 553315. No doubt yet another call centre scam to be avoided.
SCAM - Automated call - they told me they were from my internet service provider (but didn't give a company name) and that there had been illegal activity so they were going to cut my service.. unless I pressed 1 to speak to an adviser.

This is a company based in Mumbai trading as Web to Wealth. Using all sorts of numbers. if you block any they call from, they just come up with a new one. here s how they get your details. they have registered with the whois who directory for web domains and every time someone buys a domain but does not buy privacy from whois who, they capture it and ring you like crazy, as if there is no tomorrow. Automated answer informed me that my national insurance and bank accounts had been suspended. A crime number had been issued and court proceedings instigated. I was to press “1” to speak to operative. Safe to say I hung up. Strangely the actual phone number is very close to my own phone number….only a couple of digits out.
