The call was automated Glaswegian female voice saying "You have been contacted by (inaudible name), please call back immediately on 01413536463" the line went dead immediately. I decided to research number online as we do not have our number published in phone books. Various comments on forums suggest they are a debt collection agency called Zinc. We owe no debts and have great credit rating, so this call seems very strange! I won t be calling back either!
This number rings at least once per day. On the odd occasion that I have answered there has been no one there.

Despite registration with the TPS, I had two cold calls about an alleged car accident in which I was involved but I do not own a car and certainly was not involved in an accident on the date claimed. The caller claimed to be from a company called Solicitors Law Firm and to have got details of my alleged accident from the UK National Traffic Department but as far as I can ascertain neither organisation exists. They witheld their phone number but claimed to be calling from 01527 821239.

Someone from this number called me tonight - why do they think it s acceptable to call at meal times? or any time when I have not asked them to. Asian sounding guy, rabbiting at speed about who I was and telling me my details, barely caught a word, then says BT will call to save me money on my Telephone and Broadband, then hung up immediately, never asked was I interested in any possible savings, not even the basic pleasantries of asking how I was etc... Just quick fire rabbit rabbit rabbit, BT will call me, click, all I can say is, if this was anything to do with BT, they are now less likely to be getting my business than they were before.
