A robot claiming to be Amanda Smith trying to find out whether I'd been in a car accident. It hung up after I kept telling it that it was a robot.

I have just had an accident and am waiting for the insurance company legal eagles to call me, I asked him 5 times what does my report say, he kept going on, 1st from the accident management company then the motor insurers bureau but still couldn't answer my question, no way are they going to take any money from my compensation, I put the phone down, so very aggrevating when I do have one about to start.
Phones me almost every day. If I answer I hear the normal couple of seconds silence that tells me it's a call centre, then there is loud office noise followed by the line being dropped. I assume this is one of those automatic things that finds out whether your number is in use, then sells to nuisance callers. Joyful......

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. Similar numbers are reported as a scam offers (in most cases some financial offers or life insurance). For sure some general call centre with telemarketing offers. Did someone answer this one people? No way I would call them back :)

My partner has an ongoing battle with Safari Mobile. When she complained, they produced some detailed-looking reports, but refused to divulge the actual sign-up URL. Accident Asked for by a fictitious name I have used in the passed for scammers who have now obviously sold my details on. All regarding a road accident that was not my fault, obviously. Total Scam and probably from India. No wonder their covid rate of infection is so high still trying to steal peoples cash from their crowded call centres. This call was actually followed up immediately from another number 01942917200 with the false information I had just given.

I'm not too certain about the caller, as he started off by saying both my Company name & personal name, & he'd obviously "done his homework" as when I asked him who was calling, he said the name of my provider. Unfortunately he spoke at the speed of sound, so when I asked, he said he'd speak slower, but then the line disconnected, so I didn't get to find out whether the caller was genuine or not.
