I received a letter from Hastings Direct saying my car had been involved in an accident 6 months ago. I got suspicious as it didn t have any details of my car on the form. I called and was told line busy. I hung up after 30 seconds. I wonder how much that cost me. Great scam. Letter got my attention. I m sure my mum and dad would have held on the phone for about 30 minutes.

This number has rung on three occasions and each time given a different reason for calling, although each time gave the same company name. Wanted me to log onto my computer to help me fix a problem which I refused. Said they would call back in 10 mins to get me to log in and i told them no. I presume it is a scam to get my log in details and personal information. Don t do it!

an Asian man called me today earlier on this phone number offering me a loan for my tuition fees as i am paying my own fees. he called himself David if i remember right. This number should be a landline from Manchester - I haven't found any ratings for this number somewhere else on internet, but similar numbers of the same range 1618148xxx are always marked as call centre - telemarketing, accident claims or surveys (market research). Does someone have some experience with this one? Nuisance call for me, blocking it now.
