Called me just there at around 8pm and the exact words I heard were "eyelashes on looking all pretty" then they hung up. WTF?

It seems to be all sorts of scams, according to reports on other sites - bank account overdraft or debts, deliveries, etc. The variety would suggest it s a prank caller.

First they called tried to confirm that the were speaking to the person they were calling for. Annoyingly they would read back my address. Then they would ask if they could do a short survey. another time they have an Indian accent and sometimes they have an English accent. Sometimes Indian man. The English accent one wanted to know if there was central heating in the house. she went straight into the question despite me telling her she had the wrong name and number. i have has several calls a day in the last couple of weeks from this "company" asking for someone ive never heard of,my landline is ex directory,when told this they say its the number they have been given for contact by this person,ive told them they are wrong,go check the address they have for this person,then check the electoral role for who lives at my address,,they replied with"we have no address for the client as it was done online,,what utter rubbish,ive had enough and im losing patience

I had two garbled messages from this number claiming to be from Hotpoint about my tumble dryer safety repair. I don t have a Hotpoint dryer. I called Hotpoint ( different number) and they said I am not on their database, so they don t know who was calling. My advice would be to call Hotpoint/Indesit direct!
