National Insurance scam call. Robot voice says there has been suspicious activity and to press 1 to connect to someone who can help

i answered but was ending a call on the my other line, they hung up and when i tried call back it said this number is no longer in use

Only my direct family have my mobile number so checked before returning call. glad I did,

Phone rang. Noisy background, someone spoke and then it went dead. Seems like a faulty sales call.

I received 3 calls in a day. I Googled the number and saw this and other threads. The girl said she was called Sophie Joyce (surname given after I questioned her for it) and the company she was working for was Outspire Insource on behalf of EE. Started trying to sell me some new deals. I revealed that I had Googled the number and had read that a number of people had posted to say it was a scam. In that situation, if it was a proper company acting as they claim then I d expect the other person to deny it was

Debt collection agency for EE keep texting and calling blocked on all accounts as told them wrong number and person and several occasions becoming a pain

Only wanted to speak to owner of business. When asked about his company he gave the company name. When I asked what they did he spoke to me as if I was stupid and said "we finance Companies". When I said we were ok thanks he sneered as me and said "yeh right", so I said goodbye and hung up. Whatever they are trying to sell they will get no customers with that attitude. Do not answer unless you want to be spoken down to.

At 1050 30 October 2013 I received a call from a male calling himself "Keith" saying he was from Santander Bank and he wanted to talk to me about my account. He said he wanted to run through some security checks with me at which I said that I was not prepared to give any personal information on a "cold call" because, I told him, I was very suspicious. Not sure which company this is, but they appear to be in Belfast. Always an Asian voice, gets very abusive if you ask them not to call back.

This number has been spoofed so that it appears as the CLI of the caller when it has no relationship to the people originating the call. This number was assigned to a legitimate business in Surrey. They have now changed their number. The spoofing still carries on and people are getting missed call messages with this number on their mobiles and landlines. Been getting calls from 01727686187. I answer and the other end is silent for 15 seconds then they hang up. I live in St Albans. Very frustrating!!
