01800248168 called today at 13:30 with a recorded voice telling me that I have problems with my Amazon account. This is the second call today, same message but different numbers. Needless to say, I have blocked both of these numbers. No doubt they will ring again on a different number.

Once the person is at the address, this man will tell you to ring the bell, the door would not open, and he will suggest you to push the door harder, making think the real owner living in the property that there is a thief

This is the other number used by scammers to defraud my mum of all her savings.
Said he was from Domestic and General asked for my name, and then said he could not hear me could I give it again which I did. I had cancelled a insurance with D & G and thought they were ring to make me change my name. He then asked for the first name of my address and post code, and again said he couldn t hear me and asked me to repeat it again. This is when I got suspicious and hung up. I rang D & G and they apparently do not keep a record of outgoing cals.

Told me I d applied for a loan, I hadn t! Refused to give his details or tell me where he had got my number from. He was very rude demanding I agreed to applying for a loan and that I wanted one! I asked to speak with manager stating I believed fraud was being commited in my name. He said he was the manager and promptly hung up on me. Not sure, but seemed to want all my ID details to confirm the refund I was to receive in couple of days, and was vague about who was calling, claimed to be some sort of Financial Authority. Number is Manchester area, and with all due respect to friends in Manchester, apart from Blackburn Lancashire, a call centre dialled call from Manchester rings more alarm bells than phone bells.
