Called a couple of times. Said he was calling from the technical depth at TalkTalk about my internet connection. Didn't believe him and put the phone down.
This number is a scammer talking from an automate robot saying the persona called is going to be arrested for tax fraud and so on. And so invite you to press 1 (which I highly recommend not to) before they take any actions.
The number is an Aldershot number. Called and spoke to my young son asking for a Mr Rogers. Rang again the following morning. He was a polite enough guy but he wouldn t tell me anything. Quite obvious it was a debt collection agency. I asked him why he was still ringing when he was told the previous day there was no-one of that name against my home number and actually I had my number for over 11 years. He told me he was going to remove my number from his list. Very apologetic. We ll see......

I have managed to confirm that calls from this number are from a company debt management company called Stephenson Drake (www.stevensondrake.com. They operate by automated cold calling your number. You will either hear silence or a message asking if you are having problems with debt. If you press 5 to speak to someone then you are cut off BUT your number is stored and you will receive a follow up call from them. annoying PPI people with even more annoying scouse accents
Very aggressive recorded message on my mobile from 02085646318 from a female saying I had criminal proceedings about to be actioned against me and to press 1 for more information. I did not of course. I am not is such a situation nor do I respond to incoming recorded messages. It was quite upsetting to have the call though, and could have been very frightening if a more fragile person had taken the call. I am aware legitimate people would not use such a method to contact anyone.

"Industrial Workers Union" scam from Derby had been ringing me daily for around three weeks. Finally gave in to temptation and picked up. "We re totally legit" and "a government body" the man said. Basically boiled down to cold calling people on a tradesman database looking to get money out of past employers for supposed hearing loss. These people are the scum of the earth and the reason this country is going down the tubes. Get a real job before it s too late! Don t trust anyone that asks for more details
