I have just had a call from this number, when I answered they called me by my first name, said where they were calling from and I said I have not been involved in any accident nor has any member of my family. He said that was fine & for me to have a nice day and a happy Xmas!! I have now blocked the number.

I have not answered to these people. Not once. Yet, they call at least weekly. I ve got a years line rental with BT paid for up-front, which allows me to block 99% of unwanted calls (with a BT blocker phone purchased separately, in case anyone was wondering). Potential scam. There was a recorded message supposedely from my internet service provider (although it didn't say which ISP they were calling on behalf), saying that our internet service would be disconnected in 4 hours due to 'Router Malfunction'.
