just had a call from this number, they knew my name, but when i asked who they were they hung up on me
Call to landline today 07.05.2021 at 11.45am. No message left. Number not known to us and no information online. Area code is Swansea, so it s almost certainly a call centre.

I think this organisation is trying to get people to sign up to let them pursue PPI claims and the like. They hung up when I asked them for their number so that I could pursue a claim with the TPS. 1471 came in handy.
They do swallow.

SCAM / FRAUD Message (as received): "O2: We were unable to process your latest payment. In order to avoid fees, please update your information via https://o2.uk.o2al.com/?o2=2" I did NOT click link and would advise anyone getting similar message not to either. I am not a customer of O2 so an obvious Phishing to random numbers. Note the link is NOT via the official "o2.co.uk" domain. BEWARE!!! P.S. I have reported to Action Fraud via https://www.actionfraud.police.u

they called me twice no caller id claiming to know the last four digits of my card, part of my address (which was wrong) and saying i made a transaction on the weekend which i did not, they sent me a code and it said to add my card to their apple pay, so obviously they were trying to take my credit card details and commit fraud on my account, they kept saying im verified my identity they then went silent when i said ill call my bank, called bank and they said yep my account is secure and that was a phising.

I ve just answered my mobile followed by the landline to this number in quick succession. They immediately hung up both times. When I tried to call them back from my mobile I got an error message telling me I d dialled a wrong number.

"Looks like a premium rate number" Sorry, but you re mistaken. 01, 02, 03 are all classed as national rate calls (apart from Channel Islands, Isle of Man) and 03xxx are business numbers. 0845 and 0870 numbers very widely being changed to 0345 and 0370 numbers so they are included in most calls packages (including from mobiles). Only 1899.com and 18185 (cheap call services when dialling using those prefixes before a number) are not including 03x
