He sounded as though he was abroad, couldn t say my last name and asked if I remembered having an accident two years ago as he could help me get compensation. I asked why he would be interested in getting compensation for me and told me he was the Motor Insurer Bureau and that was what they did. I got a call yesterday from Motorpal. The welsh lady was on phone to me for 25 mins, we discussed scam requests and I asked if this was similar to the money club where they give a £1 one month trial then take £99 out of your account, not a £1, then five months later take another £99 and so on. I told her I had reported The Money club to trading standards and got more than the money I paid out back using my bank to retrieve, so was not interested. Insurance/Spam suspected. UK Caller dialled my Swiss mobile and purported to be working on a survey for Swiss government that would take about 1 minute. I was then asked about car and life insurance, so left the call after about 2 minutes and before the 'survey' was completed.
