They called just now, as soon as I heard pause then background noise with foreign man speaking , likely Indian, saying from BT I hung up. They called back immediately and asked why I hung up as it was a v important call. I said I wasn’t with BT it was a scam and Again I put phone down. What are we to go about these nuisance calls?

They called me 3 times a day for a month before I finally decided to answer the phone. I was very polite when they started telling me how they were not trying to lend me money, however they WERE offering a great rate on loans (uuummm???) so I managed to interrupt the lady and said that I was perfectly fine financially and had no need for a loan, and that my phone number must have been sold to them without my permission. Some pest on this number called my (pensioner) mother to ask to "call today to see if anything s wrong with the house". Sounded very suspicious to me, like if this con artist was let in the house, he/she would find lots of non-existent faults that d cost a fortune to fix.
