They tried to send me to a website to fix it but when I asked if I could have a number to call them back to make sure they were legit they hung up. Claimed to be from Postcode lottery saying I’d won a discount card for supermarkets and that I’d also won a free flight to anywhere in the world. Passed call to her senior who wanted to “activate” the discount credit card and said needed to deposit £1.00 into my account to activate the account. Told her I knew she was scamming me for my bank details and hung up!

This is a Scam ,but unfortunately it was to late for me.It was not untill they phoned me and said that another claim that I was expecting, they said that had come through.But I phoned another no from my paperwork and they told me it was a scam.I called UKASH to put a block on Voucher.But they had used most of it .They also changed one in to Euros.I am now out of pocket ,plus the 6% that UKASH will charge in getting a refund.SO BE AWARE

Claimed to be from O2, said they were calling because I was a "Longtime customer", accidentally hung up themselves mid-sentence. Considering I only joined O2 last month, almost certainly a scam.
Insurance. Very suspicious. The caller claimed to be calling about renewal of an insurance policy on my washing machine. He sounded convincing until he said he wanted to confirm my bank details. I asked him to tell me what details he had and he said he didn't have that information and wanted me to give them to him. Naturally, I refused to do this and he quickjy terminated the conversation. This is probably an attempted fraud.
