Rang today claiming to be from the British Gas metering team. I asked them to prove it by providing my account number. Gave me a string of numbers - not my account number. Foreign accent.

HMRC SCAM 07477 169835 - Just received a call from this number purporting to be from HMRC about a letter being returned and threatening legal action and to press One to speak to an officer. Recorded voice message was a female with American accent.

I have no recollection of this telephone call, but it appears on my bill as 7.52mins at a premium charge of £9.261

Received a call from this number claiming to be Microsoft saying that they've detected a problem with my computer and asked if I can switch on my computer. I refused and challenged them; caller eventually put me onto their "supervisor" and he asked me if I understood the nature of this call from Microsoft today but I told him that I didn't believe he was and he said "OK then f**k off" and I replied "Likewise" and hung up. 07737071421 _ this number registered with Three called me and it's a fraud. He says it is an arrest warrant on my name which it is not true. Fake

They said they were from Amazon and I had a £900 transaction taken from my account he asked me to follow his instructions ( I did know it was a scam) I told him ok he said to put him on loud speaker and he was going to give me a 9 digit code to enter into my phone, I asked him if he could call me back in 10 minutes when my daughter is home as she works for the police he suddenly hung up. I have passed the phone number on to Amazon but I’m worried about the people that they do trap please don’t give any one

I had a text from this number "Hi Alice, it's Carrie, there's a reception tomorrow. do you have time to go with me?" I thought initially this was a wrong telephone number put in. but seeing as it has been flagged up a number of times. I think it's a phishing call. I've not answered it, as this would have shown my number was active

Fraud - I think? This number rang my home landline (I couldn't reach it, I'm disabled). - I did 1471 + 3 - the number was dead. Google didn't find it (but found a few close variations from Southern American countries, not anyone I know then, (we're in UK). This number doesn't ring when dialed on landline or my mobile, (but rang me a good 1/2 minutes)? I checked & checked it again. - How's it possible? - Obviously some kind of "con", "scam" ?!

SCAM - Recorded message claiming to be VISA saying 2 large purchases had been made on my visa card (I don't have one) so deffo a scam. Shame it was a recorded message or I would have been happy to insult them in new and inventive ways.

Clearly a scam. Don’t click on the link to call the number. It says Halifax but I have no account with the Halifax.

We believe this is to be a suspicious and unauthorized transfer that you have never been done before in the past from your card. Wanted to talk about my life insurance policy but said it was an "AIG policy" which it isn't. When questioned on this he repeated the same thing once and then stealthily changed it to say he was working with my provider and AIG. Double checked and the two companies don't appear related. He then started on the spiel where he called it a personal policy which it isn't. Let him continue to waste his time and then told him the truth when he asked at which point he hung up on me. Total scam BS.

Obvious fraud. They claim to be from o2, wanting to save you money. They actually use o2s own "forgotten password" link do send you a message directly from o2, with a code that they can use to access your account. DO NOT GIVE THEM THIS CODE!
