SCAM / SPAM 01484305524 Electronic female American voice purporting to be from Amazon. Doesn't ask for a name just launches into spiel. So far 3x calls today, all using different phone numbers, and numerous previous "Amazon" calls over past weeks using different numbers. Tend to be worse on a Thursday. I've signed up to the TPS service by they still keep coming through. Why can't somebody stop these devious crooks?

If you get a call you should answer or call back as the problem is that the initial database maker sells your number on to other junk call companies. If you have a call from them you should call the number back and ask for James, the call centre manager and demand where they got your number from. SCAM Seems to be a call center as noisy line. Tried to obtain bank details etc under false pretences, alleging an engineer from BT has detected problems on my home landline and that without rectification I could incur £+ costs but if remedial action is taken quickly charges may be reduced.
