When I answered the call a man said he was calling from a security company which installed alarms etc - I said I was not interested and he said ok and I switched off phone. It was to my mobile number which I have only given to friends and family - cannot understand how I am now getting calls on this phone mainly from phones which appear to be in the North of England. Lots of times no-one answers but equally I do not answer most of them as presume they are scams

SCAM Call Themselves 'Domestic Appliances'. Phoned numerous times, totally ignore Telephone Preference Service as they have been told I have registered for this service. They have no information on my appliance as it was fitted by friend who runs a business in this market. It is a marketing company trying to sell something (of what use I don't know). Hi just thought id write a little message to those people who like to jump on the bandwagon. WWW.MONEYEXPERT.COM is 100% legitimate. How do I know?? Because I work for them. The company does have a small department off staff that generate leads through the website, and may phone up to follow up a recent/previous enquiry. The website offer savings and comparison. Now what people don t understand, is that if you go onto the website and enter in your details, there is small print at the bottom with a consent

Similar to other comments - caller said he was from Microsoft and said my computer had been sending them warning messages. Wanted me to log on so he could fix it ! He was a bit confused when I said I only had Apple computers and not Microsoft and then hung up when I told him that I would refer this to Action Fraud!
