it is from Russia, saying that I had been fraudulently using my national insurance number, it is the international crim unit, and if I don't press one to speak to an operator my NI number will be suspended and I will be arrested. I didn't press one, I just hung up. Hope the KGB don't turn up on my doorstep!

I ve just had a call from this number. They said that as I had been involved in a road accident my case had been referred to them. As I had a car accident in the last week my insurance company had referred me to an injury claim solicitor (one who does a lot of advertising on TV) so I thought this was them until I was passed to a supervisor who then proceeded to say "I understand you have been involved in an accident in the last two years". SCAM - scam baiters who bought Sky number ranges and are cold calling victims trying to claim to be the ISP. Tosser kept calling me "bro". I first asked him to confirm my IP address (dynamically allocated) and he gave me something he made up - that didn't have all 4 sets of numbers. Sky have been asked about this and aware of these scammers.
SPAM number rings a few times then hangs up. Do not call back as the charges are extortionate!
