Text from this number claims to be from Barclays saying a payment was set up to someone. It included a link, which I didn't use, as I don't bank with Barclays. Obviously a scam.

Fraud Indian call centre for bank frauds. Try to get card numbers and run up transactions which they tell you are 'cancelling frauds' but you are being tricked into allowing the payments. They have the old BT customer database, so have names, addresses and bank details from 10+ years back

i had a text message from this number which takes you to what looks like a fake royalmail website. None of the embedded links work on the website. The message at the top of the page seems to suggest these is an unpaid fee on a parcel. - SCAM

This number is being used for a scam. This number called claiming to be the bank & said two large payments had been drawn from my account- one for Amazon & one international payment . I ended the call without pressing any phone keys, then phoned my bank on a trusted number: they said my account was fine & the call had been a scam.

Some person claiming to be from o2 offering me a 40% discount on my monthly phone bill.......due to covid 19!!!! I played along for a couple of minutes & they sent text message codes which someone could genuinely assume was from o2 as they had security warnings advising not to give the code out etc but when I said I was going to run her through some security questions & asked her the 1st line of my address they hung up. TAXES / HMRC TAXES / HMRC SCAM +44 20 3925 0396 - This number called me this morning and asked me if I’d been working in the last four years, whether I had been self-employed and who I was working for now. When I said I was retired, she said I wouldn’t be eligible for a tax rebate when I asked what the reason for the call was. She signed off.

Probable scam. Didn’t answer but when I called back I had a message saying the number was not in use. This is a red flag for a scammer!

SCAM Fraud BEWARE ! This number has only recently appeared on this site (August 2023) from other people checking. Caller says you've suspicious transactions on your card, knows your name and last four digits of the card. Asks you to check the balance, in my case without any security questions. Hung up on me and didn't call me back when I told him I keep very little in the account, whilst I was silently checking the account in the background.
