called asking about an accident happened. i ask the company she is calling from and hung up and said thank you and hung up the phone

Just to confirm, after my previous post I reported this number to the police, who said it definitely is a scam, and that Microsoft would never call you about this sort of thing. These people will generally want remote access to your computer to "fix a virus" or something like that. They show you some files that they know every computer has and tell you they re harmful, which is completely untrue. They then use the remote access to steal from you. i had to tell the man on the other end that i have reported the number and that its been traced to them and the police were on their way. the i heard him swearing using the F word, then hang up.i laughed.
