I received a call from someone who said they were from BT and that they had detected that my BT landline had a low broadband speed... This is unlikely as I don't use BT!!!! This is obviously a scam. Fraud this number has taken over my mobile and replaced my own number. I am going to Tesco today to check it out. Alerted that something was very wrong by data usage escalating without explanation from about 70mb a month to 2GB in 21 days. Also Tesco account app is missing. Very frightening

Man calling about a medical pendant. May have been harmless but he was very evasive when I asked where he got my phone number (we're not on any lists and don't get cold-called much). He seemed to be reading from a script and looking up the answers, as there were long gaps between my asking a question and his reply. I told him I was going to hang up and did so.
