SCAM - Recorded message claiming to have noted fraudulent activity associated with my National Insurance number. Instructed to press 1 to speak with an officer. Very worrying language and potential for people to get scammed.
Called me up saying they were from "Support Assist" and understood I had recently been in an accident. After it transpired that this was not the case, the charming man on the other end of the line said "you fucking idiot" and hung up. Tried to call them back to glean a little more information - an automated message tells you to email [email?protected] - which bounces back. I will track them down eventually.

This number belongs to Amnesty International. They want to things: #1 inform you about their current focus or rather issues they are currently focussing on and #2 ask you for a donation. I have been making donations to AI in the past, so I guess that explains how they got my number.

Hard to know whether or not this was a scam call though it had some hallmarks. The caller's voice sounded like someone who phoned from a different number only yesterday and the MO was similar. She asked to speak with Mrs N (my mother) and when I said she wasn't available she couldn't get off the phone quickly enough; refused to share the name of the organisation she was calling from and said she'd get someone to call later. I don't think this is the way legit businesses operate. I blocked the number.

Claims to be a company called UK Talks. Definitely suspicious if not scam or fraudulent. Website does not show numbers which call. The numbers they call from frequently change, the latest being this number. 01997 280702 is also one currently used by them. 01212 840668 used to be theirs but is now discontinued. called me to discuss my First Utility tariff which is coming to an end. I asked to be called back as it was a bad time. To cut a medium story short the caller muttered something about calling me back, he failed to end the call / mute his mic as he told me to f*ck off. My complaint is currently in the pipeline and someone will hopefully be unemployed next week.
