They called my friend, an automated voice possibly promoting a scam, pretending to be the UK Gov. Figured I'd report this here.
So how does this help me?
Fraud Automated call advising me of transaction that l need to approve. Wasn’t aware of any outstanding transactions. Hung up and called my bank and my bank was not responsible for the call.
Hi just thought id write a little message to those people who like to jump on the bandwagon. WWW.MONEYEXPERT.COM is 100% legitimate. How do I know?? Because I work for them. The company does have a small department off staff that generate leads through the website, and may phone up to follow up a recent/previous enquiry. The website offer savings and comparison. Now what people don t understand, is that if you go onto the website and enter in your details, there is small print at the bottom with a consent

I was called by someone called Chelsea from carephone who offered me an upgrade phone. She also gave me the number 08448933933 if I had any problems. I did receive the phone but didnt like it. Automated call saying they are your internet service provider and they have detected illegal activity and will suspend the service....then there are options, press 1 for this, 2 for that.......stopped listening and terminated the call. SPAM - Claimed to be from a trading company and said that I had registered interest online (which I haven't). Hung up on me when I asked for him to spell out the name of the trading company. Seemed suspicious.

A man asking for semi permanent make-up, would not give me his address for me to send him a patch test! Then wanted to book a whole day with me for a full works of pampering! The semi permanent make-up, and hair cut but then went on to say he wanted his hair coloured and teeth whitening! His messages were weird so I googled his number to find other complaints about him! Thank you!

Safe number new system for NHS appointments, link does look ‘dodgy’ so didn’t access it but also in msg is option to to send text saying PRINT, which will mean a paper copy of the appointment is sent. I did this and letter came a couple of days later. Poorly thought out scheme as msg does look like a scam and no advertising saying this is their new system!

SCAM. This number came through as a text and purports to be a dhl non-delivery notice with a link. The link takes you to a ‘google prize lottery’ which I didn’t bother to take further, but it’s obviously nothing to do with DHL. Have marked it as annoying and have blocked the number.

The caller gave this number saying they were from Google about my entry on google maps and that they were going to help me fix the problem I had to get customers to find me. There s nothing wrong with my entry. So I played along and when asked for my name said it was George Bush. Apparently I should get a call back later today as I said I was too busy. Beware, this is just usual scam.
