SCAM Someone called “David” called trying to sell me a mobile phone contract. iPhone 13 pro max, 24 months with unlimited data, minutes and texts. For £40 a month. When enquired, came up with nonsense which made no sense. Asked for network provider, my name, and starting asking family names. Of course gave fake names and realised I knew they were scammers. Swearing dialogue commenced, said they were from Sri Lanka which seems nonsense. Accent sounded Indian. Called back on different number

I was a bit uneasy with a firm telling me that they could get me a rates reduction as there are many firms offering this service! Graham George and their rep Jason were more than helpful in the service they provided me, even when all of the paperwork was lost by the government department. They resubmitted it the next day a decision was made a week later. SCAM Automated message alleging to be Amazon saying purchase of iPhone11 for £1100 has been made through my account. Press 1 to confirm this was me or 2 to speak to an operator. Pressed 2 to be transferred to an offshore call centre to be asked by a chirpy lady how I am this morning. Told her to be honest I was a bit p*ssed off to be woken so early on a Saturday morning for a scam. She hung up on me.

Based in Manchester, uses names like Peter Munrreo, Frank Maccallan. Tells you calling from Stepchange but they arent. Please report to action fraud and block numbers.

Called me saying they are the Carphone Warehouse and were trying to get me to buy laptops, phones and tablets. The line was pretty rubbish so I'm not sure if this was a scam as I'm sure the Carphone Warehouse don't just randomly call up numbers.

SCAM - called and telling me that my National Insurance Number has been compromised - when I asked this Indian accent men to verified his identity to me he hung up. Don't give them your details and tell them they will be reported to Police!
Constant missed calls for a week. I answered and it was a polite lady from Vodafone trying to sell me something. She knew my name as I am a customer. When I said I was busy she said she will call back another time. This number does not appear on the Vodafone authorised numbers list although it is only one digit out from a lot of their numbers.

I think this organisation is trying to get people to sign up to let them pursue PPI claims and the like. They hung up when I asked them for their number so that I could pursue a claim with the TPS. 1471 came in handy.

"Utility Care Club" claiming our subscription had been reduced. We aren't members. Sounded dodgy. Looked it up. It appears to be a real company (incorporated 2019). If it the real company, it ignored TPS, and told a falsehood on the phone. Umbrella company for servicing. Would not join one of these in any case. Definitely Spam.
