Claims to be a company called UK Talks. Definitely suspicious if not scam or fraudulent. Website does not show numbers which call. The numbers they call from frequently change, the latest being this number. 01997 280702 is also one currently used by them. 01212 840668 used to be theirs but is now discontinued. I received a call this afternoon from David from London Police Station informing me that fraudulent transcations are taking place in my account (approx. ?3100) and it would be best for me to relocate my funds into safe keepings. To cut a medium story short the caller muttered something about calling me back, he failed to end the call / mute his mic as he told me to f*ck off. This number rang today but hung up part way through the answerphone message. After reading comments here and elsewhere, I rang and asked for our number to be removed from their database. The guy I spoke to was happy to do this and also happy to tell me that the third party from whom they receive numbers is Communications Avenue. Looks like these are the people we should really be shutting down. A quick Googke shows that they re based in Newark.
