SCAM Call from Sky technician department! Strong Asian accent. There is a problem with my broadband router. Not with and never have been with sky. Wanted me to load an app on my phone so she could show me what the issue was with the router. Not happening I said. Got accused of arguing with her. Called from Talk Talk Tech department to say to say a there is problem with our router. He required access to our PC. We are not talk talk customers and these calls are now coming in at a rate of 4 or 5 per day
If this really is HSBC s fraud dept they are staggeringly incompetent and l am by no means convinced that it is. Question of whether there has been fraud on my account remains unsolved - l was unable to give the exact year that l opened my account - approx 40 years ago - and so failed my telephone security check . May be genuine, but they asked me to repeat the same information re my account so many times that l was suspicious, and would urge caution
