This is 100% a genuine call from Marks and Spencer’s Credit Services. I called them independently on their website contact number and they were trying to contact me with an account related query. The annoying thing is when I had tried to answer the number on the first ring the call germinated. However, it is not a scam number.

A really badly recorded message informing me that my internet service is being discontinued because (presumably) I haven't paid my bill. It seems to be my lucky week as they called 4 times yesterday from different 01606 prefixes. May their crotches be infested with fleas.
Didn t answer partly because have seen comments here but also because I never answer unknown numbers or numbers not in my contact list on first call. If someone genuinely wants to speak to me they will leave a voicemail. This number has rung many times and never leaves a message

I am confused by this. I recently received a call from this number about an annual service booking; the woman at the other end knew my name but wanted me to confirm my address and postcode, which I did. I agreed to a suggested date and time, and she tells me that I will be getting a call on the day to confirm. SCAM I was called from a lady called Lisa. She sounded Indian. Anyway I am lucky because I have been allocated a free discount card. Free, up to 40% off shopping, Tesco etc. Also they will send me free flight tickets for me and my family, anywhere in Europe. Didn't want my bank account no. just my sort code and account number. So they could credit me £1. I put the phone down. I wonder if I will get my free discount card in the post as promised.
Man phoned said we are the home owner who have had the government loft insulation put in recently, I said you must have the wrong number as we are an office, to which he promptly put the phone down !!
