SCAM saying HMRC have a tax fraud case against you. Very loud threatening automated message telling you you will be arrested soon if you don't press 1 to call them. Mobile number locator shows as being near industrial site off Mitton Road, Whalley near Blackburn. The intent is to scare vulnerable/older people into making contact, so as to gain access to their PC via remote access. HMRC are aware of this type of scam but I informed them anyway.

Knew my name said they were calling, can get rid of debt and stop bank fees. Said I don't have any debt and hung up. Sounded dodgy, especially since I don't have any debt and so I have no idea how these people had my number and name, you could hear other people talking in the background and it took a while for the person to start talking to me once I answered, like he wasn't there to begin with, and was connected to the call after I had answered, which seems suspicious. Signed up £1.00 and later 79.99 was taken out which I was surprise. Rang the company to refund were I did not sign up for anything but was told u have 14 days to cancel and could not refune. They also had not posted no vouchers worth 79.99, twice and third time but still anything. Now have taken legal advice and working towards getting money back or my vouchers. This company is a fraud and have leaned next the to be more carefully.

Harrassing sales calls, give false details when asked, do not give time of day.
SCAM. Caller had male Indian voice, claimed to be Johnson from Microsoft, Reading. Claimed problem with our computer, that it had been hacked. He rang back 5 or 6 times in very quick succession and got very nasty - by far the nastiest, most aggressive and threatening such call I've had. The number given on dialling 1471 was obtained after the last call - it is possible that the earlier ones were not from that number. So certainly Annoying and probably Dangerous.
