After much irritable discussion it transpired that Nova Technologies were sending a Tablet. That it was a present. For free. Very strange call. All the hallmarks of a nuisance.

I just had fun with 2 of these calls. Call 1: I pretended to be deaf and to mishear everything the caller said... who eventually disconnected! Call 2: when asked "and how are you today?" I responded by giving them a detailed litany of all my ailments, in my case all invented! I would not let the caller get a word in and I terminated the call by thanking them for calling about my health but I have to go now to have my piles looked at by the nurse and I did not want to miss my appointment. Try it...it is real

Since having a minor accident 8 months ago, I've now had calls from over 30 different accident claims companies. Absolutely sick of them. They've got my home number, work number and mobile number. Relentless.
They've rung me at 7-05am, got me out of bed. This is fourth time in two days they've rung. After the first time asking for a MR ......, they now only ring and hang up. But it's annoying as they L let the house phone ring and ring (we don't have answerphone). Very persistent. Asian voice and accent named Kevin!

A scam call from “ Inside Revenue” trying to glean tax information. The foreign sounding man said he could help with claiming the marriage allowance! I told him that as I worked for HMRC anyone who claims the marriage allowance simply has to tick a box on their tax return and there is no need for any interference from a company calling themselves “Inside Revenue”. My advice is give no information and block the number.
