Are based in Scotland with no known office in 01305 exchange area. Have calls from Scotland re-routed through local exchange numbers in order to persuade people to answer a local number. If you call it back, then the call is again re-routed back to their Scotland office. Not sure if this is an illegal practice under telephony legislation, but would be interested if anyone can come up with the legislation about having calls re-routed to give the answering CLI the impression that the call is local.

I was called by someone called Chelsea from carephone who offered me an upgrade phone. She also gave me the number 08448933933 if I had any problems. I did receive the phone but didnt like it. I phoned the number and gave up after 57 minute being on hold. Female caller from Albion Assured asking to speak to my husband about the collision he had in his car. Told her he had not had one, her response was "not even in the last two years" I said no and she hung up.

I've been receiving repeated calls from numbers in the range +44 1892 502868-887 for around 10 days now, several times a day. Often the calls stops ringing after just one ring. No voicemails have been left. When I try to call back I get a recorded message saying 'this person's phone is currently available, please try later'. I cannot find the owner of any of these numbers online.

Never answer these. Always follow them up with a web search. Blocked now.
