This number is not secure, it is scammers pretending to be from O2, offering a 50% discount off your monthly bill. Tempting, obviously. They say a text will be sent to confirm this, followed by another text with a code to activate the offer. They will then ask you to repeat the code to them BUT doing this will allow them to take control over your account and possibly other info on your phone. Something didn't feel right so when they rang back for the code I didn't answer but googled O2 scams. Beware.

DANGER ! Definitely Spam. Lady with Indian accent as O2 customer service telling me they had received multiple complaints about signal problem. I said I was satisfied with signal coverage. She then tried to give me a number to call back. I challenged her and told her I thought she not not legit. She started arguing. I said a real customer agent would not argue like that. Put down the phone.

Said he was a bailiff, knew all my information, I have an IVA so he said I still owe money and I said I will contact my IVA company and he said he will phone them and said the bailiffs to my door then hung up.

Claimed to be from O2 offering a 40% discount on my bill for being a "loyal customer". Did not greet me by my name. When I called her out on that and asked her to drop me an e-mail if she was legit, she hung up.

Received a call from this number claiming to be Microsoft saying that they've detected a problem with my computer and asked if I can switch on my computer. I refused and challenged them; caller eventually put me onto their "supervisor" and he asked me if I understood the nature of this call from Microsoft today but I told him that I didn't believe he was and he said "OK then f**k off" and I replied "Likewise" and hung up. TAXES / HMRC Robocall allegedly from HMRC saying that they are about to take legal action against you and press one, leave your details to prevent legal action being taken. No human interaction whatsoever. When you try to call it back ( from a withheld number you get an immediate divert saying sorry calls can't be taken at this time or an unobtainable tone.

I gave my details to a Fake BBC New story on Facebook about trading software and this company keeps calling me. I have asked them three times to delete my contact details under the GDPR "right to be forgotten" and they simply get abusive. They are looking for me to "activate my account and upload £200 on a debit/credit card".

I had a text from this number "Hi Alice, it's Carrie, there's a reception tomorrow. do you have time to go with me?" I thought initially this was a wrong telephone number put in. but seeing as it has been flagged up a number of times. I think it's a phishing call. I've not answered it, as this would have shown my number was active
