Man with strong Indian accent calling himself "Daniel", claiming to be calling from "Microsoft Encarta" and saying that hackers had infected my PC, so he'd need access to it. A complete criminal scam. I told him I needed to go and get my computer, then left him waiting for ages until he eventually hung up. Number now blocked & reported to ICO.

Message arrived over WhatsApp - I guess it's now the platform of choice for scammers, as bulk SMS costs money? Suspicious "hi, hope you are doing well" received, and nothing else. I'd suggest do not reply, not even to ask "who is this?", as it's likely a scam. If it was somebody I knew, I'd expect them to use my name and/or identify themselves if they can see we haven't communicated before.

Absolutely 100% cannot be trusted SCAM as I can see she has done it before for me she used the name chloe Farrell Kept stalling saying she's on her way then her brother apparently got into a car accident then asking me for more money which I said no to started arguing with me for honestly hours. SPAM or worse, called twice loud callcenter noise and second time I was asked if this is the company they called, I stupidly said yes and they hung up - we need to get rid of all these scammers...

Got a phonecall saying that it was eon to arrange an appointment to fit a smart meter he asked if I would pay by direct debit or smart pay as you go when I said pay as you go je said there was a problem with the system and he would call back I contacted eon and they assured me that this is a scam and not one of their numbers
